Kingdom of darkness

Kingdom of Style really is one of our favourite international blogs, and is a regular port of call most mornings… so we were very happy to flip our laptop open (with a flat white in hand) and see the Jimmy D AW11 collection featured, even more so when phrases like “I could wear any of this every day” are thrown around. High praise.

Thanks Queen Michelle!

The latest issue of New Zealand mag Urbis is out now. Entitled ‘Best Designs of 2010’, Urbis chose Jimmy D Autumn/Winter 2011 as one of the ‘best looks from (New Zealand) Fashion Week’. Long distance relationship

We’re currently in the fortunate position of wading through a whole lot of press after our show at New Zealand Fashion Week in September, here’s a little glimpse at some of the press online from influential international websites such as Refinery 29 (top), Australian Harpers Bazaar, Grazia UK, and Style.com.

It’s 1am

The new issue of our fave online magazine 1am is out now, and features some pretty darn awesome images of pieces from our SS11 POWER TRIP collection, styled and photographed by Barry Betham. Thanks guys!

Mitchell Oakley Smith’s stunning book ‘FASHION : Australian & New Zealand Designers’ has just been released and features Jimmy D – one of seven New Zealand designers chosen, alongside labels such as Zambesi, Nom*d, Kate Sylvester and Cybele. It’s a beautifully written book, accompanied by a carefully curated selection of images that tells a wonderful story about Australasian design.

We are very privileged to included – a huge thanks to Mitchell and Thames & Hudson!

The book is widely available through retail stores and galleries through out New Zealand , Australia and internationally, including such prestigious locations as the TATE in London and Centre Pompidou in Paris – alternatively grab a copy here.

Don’t stop till you get enough
